Ibizaah! has received quite a bit of coverage throughout its short 2 week lifespan and I decided to create a slideshow with screenshots from all the main sites that reviewed Ibizaah!.

Yesterday I created a embbeddable Flickr Flash slideshow and today I got fancier and combined Cooliris and iShowU to record my screen.
I uploaded the video to YouTube and used their audioswap feature to lay down an awesome track.

New Feature! Load Playlists from Youtube

I just finished the most requested feature so far. Now you can load your YouTube playlists with a couple of clicks. Just enter your YouTube username and press enter. Your playlists list will load and then simply select which playlists you want to load and its target. You can choose Left, Right, or Both. Both distributes the songs evenly between both players.
If you uncheck the checkbox that says “Overwrite Existing Videos” the videos will be appended to the existing ones. By default, that option is checked which means that when you load a new playlist, your queued videos will be cleared and replaced with the new ones.

Soon I will also add the option to save your playlists back to YouTube directly form Ibizaah!.

Let Ibizaah! DJ for you – Introducing the AutoDJ button

One of the main target users I had in mind when I build Ibizaah! was my long time friend Zigor. I met Zigor back in 1990 and we have kept our relationship over the last.. wow! almost 20 years. The last 14 years have been away from each other since my moved to Canada in 1996.

Anyway, like most people in Spain, Zigor has always enjoyed having house parties since he moved out of his parent’s home. Since YouTube went live 4 years ago, Zigor and friends always ended up playing tunes from YouTube at these parties and struggled to keep continuous playback since they had to switch from window to window to search and play more videos.

When I released Ibizaah! last week I killed that problem once and for all, but Zigor, my main Beta tester, suggested to have an automatic option to crossfade between songs so he or whoever was DJing could take breaks and still have continuous music playing.

Today, that issue has been also dealt with with the introduction of the Auto-DJ button. Just press it, sit back, take a break, join the dance floor, take a pee break, or whatever. With the Auto-DJ button, as long as there are songs queued on both playlists, Ibizaah! will automatically cross fade and loop through all the songs forever. When you are back from your break you can switch the Auto-DJ button off and take over the DJing again.
